Hjemmelaget gulrotjuice med ingefær og appelsin

Fresh carrot juice with orange, lemon and ginger comes together quickly at home — with a juicer or a blender. The carrots give the juice a mild sweetness, orange and lemon add freshness, and the ginger gives it a little kick at the end.

Serve it freshly made for breakfast or brunch, or fill it into a Norgesflaske and keep it chilled for later.

Carrot Juice with Ginger Recipe

The recipe makes about 75 cl — perfect for one Norgesflaske.

Ingredients

  • 600 g carrots (about 6–7 medium)
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 3–4 cm fresh ginger
  • 2 dl cold water (can be skipped if using a juicer)
  • 1–2 tsp honey (optional)

How to make carrot juice with a juicer

  1. Wash the carrots well, and peel them if you like.
  2. Peel the oranges and the lemon.
  3. Cut the carrots, oranges, lemon and ginger into pieces.
  4. Run everything through the juicer.
  5. Stir in a little honey if you'd like a rounder flavor.
  6. Pour the juice into a clean Norgesflaske, and store it in the fridge.

How to make carrot juice with a blender

No juicer? You can make the carrot juice just as well with a regular blender.

  1. Put all the ingredients in the blender together with the water.
  2. Blend until completely smooth.
  3. Strain the juice through a fine sieve or a jelly bag.
  4. Pour the finished juice into a clean Norgesflaske.

When to enjoy carrot juice

The combination of carrot, orange, lemon and ginger works well as a way to start the day, for breakfast or brunch. Serve it alongside coarse bread rolls or yogurt with granola.

Make it yourself and fill the bottle

Making your own juice doesn't need to be complicated. With just a few ingredients, you can make a fresh juice at home and pour it straight into the Norgesflaske. Make a batch when you have time, keep the bottle chilled, and pour the juice into a glass whenever you're in the mood for something fresh.
