Eric Ness Christiansen
Born 1985 – based in Drammen
Eric Ness Christiansen began working with graffiti in 1999 and has since been a central figure in the development of Norwegian street art. With a background in graphic design and illustration, he has combined art, activism, and urban development in a number of projects.
In 2013, he launched Project Cellout, placing graffiti in Norwegian nature. The project received widespread attention, and works were acquired by Drammens Museum. That same year, he challenged the zero-tolerance policy for graffiti with a public mural in Drammen, contributing to a nationwide shift in attitudes.
He is behind the Ugang project in Drammen (2014–), where 11 underpasses were decorated by Norwegian and international artists. This led to curatorial roles in projects such as Sukkerbiten in Oslo, Østensjøbanen, Den Magiske Fabrikken, and several school and urban space projects across the country.
Eric has collaborated with renowned artists like TelmoMiel, Felipe Pantone, and Martin Whatson, and has represented Norwegian graffiti at the Tribeca Film Festival. He runs his own gallery in Drammen and has led major projects for both municipalities and volunteer organizations.
