Products and glass

Hadeland.com offers an extra service for the Odysse product line, called breakage replacement. If one of your Odyssé glasses breaks, you can get a new glass by bringing the stem back to Hadeland Glassverk or to the nearest Christiania Glassmagasin store, completely free of charge. No receipt is necessary.

In many cases, this is glass corrosion, also known as glass disease, and can occur, for example, when glasses have been left in the dishwasher for a long time in a humid state. To prevent this, we recommend washing at a maximum of 55 degrees, using half a detergent tablet, and regularly cleaning the dishwasher.

If your glasses have developed glass corrosion, in many cases they can be repaired by us. Send us an email at fabrikkutsalget@hadeland-glassverk.no for inquiries.

Yes, there are some differences. The new Norgesglass have a CG lantern in the base and Hadeland Glassverk's "H" embossed on the bottom. Older Norgesglass often had a faint greenish tint. The new versions are produced in China from soda glass, while the traditional canning jars were previously made in Norway.

Most glasses are dishwasher safe, but we recommend a gentle cycle and low temperature to preserve their shine. Check the product information for specific advice regarding your glasses.
