Hadeland Glassverk

About us

For more than 260 years, Hadeland Glassverk has been shaping Norway’s story of glass, design, and craftsmanship. Founded in 1762, we are not only Norway’s oldest continuously operating industrial company – we are also a living meeting place where history and innovation intertwine.

On the shores of Lake Randsfjorden in Jevnaker, just an hour from Oslo, you’ll step into a world where glowing glass is transformed into timeless beauty. Inside our historic glassblowing workshop, artisans keep centuries-old traditions alive while experimenting with new forms and ideas. Each piece that leaves the furnace is one of a kind – created by hand, shaped by breath, and crafted with passion.
Hadeland Glassverk Experience Center

But Hadeland Glassverk is more than glass. With over 600,000 visitors each year, we are a cultural destination offering experiences for all senses:

  • Discover exhibitions and galleries that showcase both design classics and contemporary art
  • Taste fresh, handmade treats from our bakery
  • Let the children play and explore
  • And for those who dare – try glassblowing yourself and create a memory you can take home.

Our legacy includes iconic designs like Marie, Finn, Siri, and Tangen – pieces that have stood the test of time and earned international acclaim. Yet, our journey is far from over. We continue to create, innovate, and share the magic of glass with future generations. At Hadeland Glassverk, every visit is an invitation: to experience Norwegian heritage, to see artistry unfold before your eyes, and to feel the warmth of tradition carried into tomorrow.
