Born 2001 – based in Oslo. Gina Gylver (b. 2001) is an artist, editorial cartoonist, and environmental activist. Her work addresses climate and environmental activism, and the lengths young people feel compelled to go to in order to protect our shared foundation for life. Gylver herself has been active in numerous actions, and has been both arrested and fined. She played a key role in organizing the Førdefjord and Fosen actions in 2022 and 2023, and was the leader of Nature and Youth from 2022 to 2024. She exhibited at the Climate House in Oslo in 2021 with the exhibition Have Choices, Make Choices. Since that year, she has worked as a freelance editorial cartoonist, and in 2023 she received the Fritt Ord satire grant as one of five young cartoonists. In 2024, one of her drawings was selected for the Norwegian Parliament’s satire collection.
