Born in 1998 – based in Oslo Ruben Alexander Soon is currently completing his BFA at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. He primarily works with ceramics, creating both sculptures and images. For the exhibition at Hadeland Glassverk, Ruben has collected ceramic bathroom tiles, painting them with oxides and glaze before firing. These works feature old motifs from porcelain plates, as well as personal experiences related to ceramic materials and his own daily life.
