Anne Kristine Gaupen Berg
Born 1990 – based in Halden.
Anne Kristine Gaupen Berg has a background in graphic design and psychology, and works abstractly with charcoal and acrylic. Her works are often characterized by contrasting colors and techniques that balance control and chance. She is inspired by artists such as Jan Groth, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Helen Frankenthaler, and is deeply influenced by music.
Berg is currently studying art and expressive therapy at NIKUT in Oslo. For her, art serves as a therapeutic space and an exploration of emotions and experiences. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally.
Berg’s pieces invite the viewer to see with a child’s eyes—to meet the unknown without a set answer. The abstract forms, often bodily or natural, allow for free interpretation and are about giving emotions space in the world. The works open up for wonder, reflection, and play.
