Born in 1991 – based in Oslo Linn Svensson is originally from Karlstad, Sweden, and currently works as an artist based in Oslo. She works with textile techniques in a figurative style, drawing inspiration from the textile medium’s strong storytelling tradition—a medium that has historically been used to preserve both myths and events across generations. In her work, she draws connections between various forms of expression, from tapestry and richly decorated folk costumes to her grandmother’s embroidery sampler or a patched garment with love in every stitch. She sources her textiles from both high and low culture, aiming to make her art accessible, recognizable, and relatable. Her goal is to build a bridge between the exhibition space and the home, between art and everyday life, tradition and hobby.
