Open Bakery
Holistic lighting in the heart of the neighborhood
Hadeland Glassverk has supplied hand-blown Arkiv lamps and crystal spheres to Åpent Bakeri in Lille Tøyen Hageby, creating a cohesive atmosphere in the restaurant, cafe, and bakery. The project demonstrates how Norwegian-made lighting and handcrafted glass can elevate interior design and strengthen the identity of modern eateries.
Lille Tøyen Garden City
In the heart of Lille Tøyen Hageby, you'll find Åpent Bakeri's new neighbourhood restaurant, cafe, and bakery. Here, fresh baked goods, warm meals, and a relaxed atmosphere converge in a space designed to function from early breakfast until the last serving of the evening.
When Øivind Loftshus and interior architect Darrell Schrubb contacted Hadeland Glassverk, the desire was to use consistent lighting to create a cohesive identity. They chose a combination of Arkiv lamps and a scattering of crystal globes.
The lighting helps to structure the space and supports the concept as a neighbourhood restaurant, café, and bakery. The result is an inviting and timeless atmosphere that combines Norwegian craftsmanship with modern interior design.
