MASTERPIECES IN GRAPHIC ART

Vincent Langaard

Vincent Langaard (b. 1994) is a Norwegian artist based in Tønsberg. He has studied at institutions including Strykejernet Art School, Glasgow School of Art (BA), and Edinburgh Atelier of Fine Art. Langaard primarily works with oil painting, printmaking, and pencil, but has also produced numerous airbrush pieces. He has sold art to collectors worldwide and has exhibited in recent years at various venues in Norway, the USA, the UK, and several Asian countries. In 2022, he participated in the Norwegian National Art Exhibition (Høstutstillingen), and the following year he was a contestant on the portrait painting competition "Portrettmesterskapet" on NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation). He has also painted album covers for several artists, including Beathoven and Lars Vaular. In 2023, he established Høstensjøutstillingen, an annual artist-run group exhibition in Østensjø (Oslo). Thematically, Langaard's works exist at the intersection of the mechanical and the mythological. They feature large machine-creatures that evoke something nostalgic and familiar, yet also possess a certain universal placement outside of history.
