Villa Inkognito

Villa Inkognito in Oslo is a unique piece of architectural history. Designed in 1870 by Thøger Binneballe as a private residence, its façade is a captivating mix of Italian Renaissance, Greek Classicism, and Germanic villa style. The elegant belvedere and the two-story loggia with a caryatid—a replica of the statues on the Acropolis—make the villa a jewel in the cityscape. For this exquisite interior, Hadeland Glassverk, in close collaboration with New York-based interior designer Adam Greco, has developed a custom-designed lighting series inspired by the paraffin lamps of the 1920s. The lamps combine bespoke brass details and handmade glass—all produced by our glassblowers in Jevnaker. The glass colors were created exclusively for the project and harmonize perfectly with the villa’s distinctive interior. During the development process, the designer himself visited Hadeland Glassverk to collaborate directly with our artisans—a creative process that ensured unique results in both form and expression.
