625 prisms revived – a modernist restoration
Villa Stenersen

Villa Stenersen in Oslo, designed by architect Arne Korsmo between 1937 and 1939, is considered a masterpiece of Norwegian functionalism. The house is protected by the Directorate for Cultural Heritage, and a gradual restoration led by Statsbygg is returning the villa to its original expression – with historically correct materials, colours, and detailing.

Hadeland Glassverk was tasked with restoring and reproducing the villa’s iconic glass elements – including custom-cast glass blocks, roofing glass, and a complete reconstruction of the signature skylight.
