The Archive Lamp 4280 was first introduced in the Høvik Verk Lighting Catalog in 1965, where it was shown alongside seven other glass pendant lamps, all produced at Høvik verk, which at the time was under Hadeland Glassverk.
In 2019, this lamp was given new life, now available in white opal glass, matte white, smoky gray, and steel blue. The lamp is also available as a dimmable table lamp. Opal and smoky gray versions come with bases in both black and solid brass, while the steel blue version is only available with a black base.
The archive lamps from Hadeland Glassverk are new productions of Norwegian design icons created by Jonas Hidle and Arnulf Bjørshol in the mid-1900s. All lamps are mouth-blown and hand-polished using traditional methods by skilled artisans at Hadeland Glassverk.
