Product description
Kumi small vase in blue and pink is a sculptural piece of art glass designed by Celine Stene Syverud. The collection was developed in close collaboration with Hadeland Glassverk’s Head of Design, Maud Gjeruldsen Bugge, and the glassworks’ experienced glassblowers, where contemporary design meets centuries of Norwegian craftsmanship.
Celine draws much of her inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, where simple forms, balance and the natural beauty of materials are central. Kumi means “forever beautiful” and reflects the vase’s timeless expression. The characteristic spiral surrounding the form evokes a sense of continuity and gives the glass a calm sense of movement.
The vase is mouth-blown at Hadeland Glassverk. The soft pastel tones of blue and pink give it a light and poetic expression, whether used for flowers or displayed on its own as an art object.
Small variations in shape, size and colour are a natural part of the handmade process.
